The Currently White Pine Old Growth represents less than 1% of their original range in North America. (Quinby 1993, Ont. Environmental Assessment Board 1994).

Owain Lake Old Growth Pine Stand at 1,400 ha. Is the 3rd largest old growth white pine stand in North America. (Quinby and Giroux 1993).
