The WHAT NEXT series of jazz and musique actuelle continues with DUOS PLUS featuring Toronto's own LEE PUI MING (piano) with Montréal provocateurs JEAN DEROME (saxophones), RENÉ LUSSIER (guitar & daxophone¹) and PIERRE TANGUAY (percussion). These brilliant soloists will perform a concert of multiple duets with a fireworks finale by the quartet.

A national tour with concerts scheduled in Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Regina and Montréal has been designed by Théâtre La Chapelle (Montréal) in collaboration with the Music Gallery (Toronto) and the Coastal Jazz & Blues Society (Vancouver).

The concept emerged in Toronto at the Rivoli during the Next Wave Series in June, 1995, when the LEE/DEROME duo played "Qu'est-ce que un chat?" on the same bill with LUSSIER/TANGUAY aka "La Vie Qui Bat".The joyous jam was collectively referred to as "Pas de Deux", somehow translating as "We are not a 2x4".

Advance tickets are $12, $7 for students & seniors, available by calling the Music Gallery at 204 1080, or at Rotate This, 620 Queen Street West.

Tickets are $15 at the door
