Reaching For Tomorrow
Date: 1995. Length: 9:50

The Estranged: smothered on ground

under blood and heat

reaching for tomorrow

between hailin' shells

'n' fallen angels.

Once the raining rage reaches resolve

the estranged might rise to realize

-- fall and all --

they are sealed here

forever and far

beyond tomorrow

Special thanks to: Conrad Alexandrowicz Theatrical Dance, Rumble Theatre, and Mandrake Theatre for the memorable creative interaction; Paul Dolden and the Sonic Studio at Simon Fraser University for providing studio resources; and DB Boyko of the Western Front for providing financial assistance through the Recommender program of the Province of British Columbia's Cultural Services Branch. Like Rendered Visible, Reaching For Tomorrow premiered at ISEA'95 in Montréal. The work received a mention in the 1995 Luigi Russolo International Competition for Electroacoustic Music.
