With over 10 years experience composing electroacoustic music (experimental studio tape composition derived from environmental, instrumental, and synthetic sound sources), I offer a dynamic and evocative approach to sound design with expertise in the following production tasks:
Phonographic Composition
A point where sound design and composition meet and where sounds from the everyday world are sculpted to evoke impressionistic atmospheres with strong emotional resonance.
Multi-Speaker Sound Spatialization
The placement and movement of amplified sound in three-dimensional space.
Digital Multi-Track Production & CDR Mastering
Recording, Editing, Processing, and Mixing Sound entirely in the Digital domain for playback from CDR or other digital sources.

Any combination of the above can be combined for a rich sonic canvas that heightens the sense of naturalism and surreality. Sound production in theatre is nowhere near comparison to the aesthetic or technical advancements made by leading contemporary practitioners of film sound, classical composition, and music studio production. One contribution to theatre in the 21st Century would be to lay the groundwork for a distinctive voice for sound in the design process. A means to this end would be to capitalize on the affordability of contemporary sound recording and audio production for taking audiences to worlds that cost thousands to render pictorially.
