WHAN is a sister organisation to HUBS in the West Highlands. Rather than simply providing Internet transit with the aim of aggregating demand, WHAN operates a wireless backbone connecting community networks together that spans the coast from Mull to Applecross. In addition to operating the physical infrastructure, WHAN operates the West Highland Internet eXchange.
