IP and IPv6 Transit

Transit services mean trasmission of data from where your network connects to ours, to the Internet and back again. This covers the transmission of the data only and not the medium or links used for the transmission.

Ethernet

Long-haul ethernet services provided over wholesale partner infrastructure to connect a member network to a HUBS point of presence. This service is useful where a direct connection to the HUBS is not possible due to distance or other restrictions. It is relatively expensive due to use of national carriers' backbone facilities but offers excellent performance and reach.

Microwave

Long-haul wireless infrastructure to connect a member network to a HUBS point of presence. This service is useful where ethernet services are not available or not cost effective but has a somewhat limited range (up to approximately 30 miles) and strict line of sight and equipment mounting requirements. Once installed, however, it is far less expensive to operate.

Ethernet over FTTC

An alternative to long-haul ethernet service that is possible in some built-up areas and can be suitable for small-scale use.

Infrastructure

HUBS provides an array of supporting services for use by member networks, including RADIUS for authorization and management of remote users, authoritative and recursive DNS service, NTP for clock synchronisation. These services are free to use for members but might incur a small set-up fee in some circumstances.
