Geoff Lealand introduces us to his new book

Helen and I have written this book primarily for New Zealand media teachers (upper secondary school and undergraduate) but, we believe, it is also accessible to general readers as it covers pretty much everything about television, eg, history, ownership, ways of studying representation, genres, audiences, issues, the future. The emphasis is firmly on the New Zealand experience of television but much of it is also general and global. The big coup was Robert Pinsky agreeing to have his poem "To Television" as a frontispiece.

Helen Martin is a media teacher (and friend), who teaches at the Auckland campus of the New Zealand Broadcasting School.
