Media Education Resources

Media Education is still a relative infant in North America compared to other curricula. The coming of the Information Age, however, has given strong impetus to the inclusion of Media Studies in many curricula.

Media Education has a strong history in Australia and the United Kingdom. In North America, Media Literacy is mandated only in the province of Ontario (1987), but is being taught in many other jurisdictions.

Associations in many places are now actively promoting and providing media education resources for teachers of all students. Please feel welcome to join the one of your choice. The associations are listed after the Non-Net resources.
